Asset Management, CAO Office, Senior Associate

J.P. Morgan Asset Management (“JPMAM”) provides investment management products and services to institutional and individual investors worldwide. It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies – from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds.
As a Senior Associate within the Asset Management Hong Kong CAO Office, you will be executing and delivering various local and regional projects as it relates to initiatives ranging from regulatory, controls focused, operational efficiency and business development items. There will also be an element of management reporting for the Hong Kong CAO and Regional APAC CAO. You will work with the front, middle and back offices on efforts locally in Hong Kong and also across the APAC region.
You will assume hands-on role in these high priority initiatives and work closely with the rest of the team and senior business management to help problem solve and drive execution.  Key responsibilities include:
Program Management
  • Managing/executing on several efforts simultaneously across a range of functions, business and organizational units
  • Prepare correspondence, presentations and/or reports to senior management and governance committees as required
  • Working with business stakeholders to help drive execution and completion of project
  • Developing program charters, business cases, project plans, team structure, and governance models
Analysis & Problem Solving
  • Supporting and conducting analysis and creative problem solving on critical issues
  • Assessing risks, costs, and benefits of alternative decisions and approaches
  • Proactively identifying and addressing risks and opportunities relating to GIM as a whole or specific projects
  • Designing processes and tools that yield sustainable improvement and return on investment
Communication & Relationships
  • Building relationships with internal clients and stakeholders
  • Communicating recommendations and program status to impacted stakeholders
  • Clearly articulating program goals to stakeholders and collaborators
  • Escalating critical issues with a focus on resolution
We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate a history in effectively managing projects and driving change, ideally in financial services.
Key qualifications include: 
  • 4+ years of solid experience from Business Management, Program Management, Consulting
  • Understanding of business and management functions in Global Investment Management and/or related financial services industries
  • Organized and proactive with a keen attention to detail
  • Discretion with highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Comfort with ambiguity and dynamically shifting priorities, timelines, and demands
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint skills
  • Skills with SharePoint and other project management tools a plus
