Senior Sales Manager, South East Asia (Re: EL)

Location: Fortress Hill

ShopperTrak is a trusted advisor to retailers and shopping centres in Europe, Asia and the USA. We work with internationally renowned brands. Through our unique retail technology and analysis solutions, we can identify key in-store and online profit opportunities in areas such as customer conversions, queue management, sales, marketing and merchandising. Our insights support retail benchmarking between stores and sites. We also pioneered and manage the now globally-recognised ShopperTrak Index, a set of national trend indexes measuring shopper numbers, which is relied upon by retailers and shopping centres across the globe as a consistent and trusted performance benchmark.

What you will do

  • The role will be responsible for developing, co-coordinating and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies to ensure ShopperTrak achieve budgeted revenue and profitability growth as defined by the overall ShopperTrak long term strategic plan
  • Achieve overall business goals and objectives in sales and new business development, as determined by the Global Sales Director, Regional Director and ShopperTrak Board

How you will do it

  • Account Growth — Proactively and frequently initiate client-facing business development meetings in the Retail and Retail Property industries and identify and close new revenue opportunities to achieve quarterly and annual sales budgets
  • Territory Planning — Responsible for developing and maintaining a detailed territory plan including  the identification and qualification of key accounts, specific account strategies, activity KPI’s  and competitive analysis
  • Account Planning — Responsible for thoroughly understanding the client’s business, objectives, operating needs, business processes and economic drivers. Perform business process and operational reviews, identifies opportunities and proactively develops specific recommendations for client business improvement. Provide clients with accurate and tangible return on investment analysis from implementing the ShopperTrak solution
  • Relationship Management — Responsible for developing and managing the ShopperTrak relationship with the client by assuming the role of trusted advisor to the “C" level of Tier One and Tier Two retailers and ensuring all ShopperTrak touch points with the client are performing in an integrated fashion and creating customer loyalty
  • Consultative and Strategic —Provide clients with industry-focused thought leadership, consultation and insight to assist them in driving the most value from the ShopperTrak solutions
  • Project Management — Manage internal and client resources to ensure appropriate and profitable solutions are implemented on time and to budget
  • Account Management — Manage our relationship with the account on an ongoing basis; to include new sales, additional product, renewals, and customer care
  • Competitive Intelligence — Responsible for keeping up to date with and documenting competitor activities and development in the SEA market
  • Provide Accurate and Timely Sales Planning & Forecasting processes by developing sales initiatives and programs to achieve the organization’s overall strategic plans
  • Establish communication and feedback processes to ensure that market and client requirements and the achievement of sales objectives are continuously monitored and measured
  • Provide senior management with timely reports and analyses on sales performance, current and future market trends and competitive activity, and making recommendations on the strategic impact of these changes
  • Develop and implement detailed sales promotional, targeting and media contact strategy in liaison with Marketing function
  • Oversee the negotiation, execution and follow up of key client assignments, analyze issues and provide feedback to both internal employees and client executives
  • Monitor outcomes to ensure optimum cost-effective client satisfaction and retention
  • Motivate and support staff by providing effective selection, development, HR planning and support processes, including training, coaching and mentoring
  • Manage regional sales efforts, activities and results and assist in development and execution of sales strategies Create and execute go-to-market plans for broader SEA business including but not limited to Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia markets

What we look for


  • Bachelor’s degree in business / management related disciplines
  • Minimum 8 years solution selling experience in a B to B environment of which over 5 years as sales leader, ideally in the retail / retail property industries
  • Ability to position a multi-faceted system solution to a variety of buying influences, including technical and purchasing decision makers Experience in long term sales processes selling complex solutions to multiple contacts
  • Experience in building and managing customer relationships to seek out and identify new business opportunities
  • Proven record of successfully growing a business with expanded customers and markets
  • Demonstrate ability to negotiate, influence and manage risk
  • Excellent presentation skills with good spoken & written English and Chinese
