Manager - Data Centre Facilities Management

Location: Tsing Yi


  • Lead and manage facilities team of engineers and technicians to operate and maintain mission critical facilities of data centres on 7x24 basis to achieve service level requirements and company targets
  • Project manager in charge of addition & alternation works of new and existing customers
  • Manage contractors and vendors in operation, maintenance and repair of mission critical facilities
  • Respond to emergencies and lead the facilities team and service vendors to resume availability and service levels of the data centres
  • Formulate policies, guidelines, operating procedures, disaster recovery plan, business continuity plans and other method statements and schedules for the operation, maintenance and repair of critical facilities
  • Meeting customers on reporting service levels, incidents and change
  • Participate in certifications and audits including ISO5000, ISO14000, ISO20000, ISO27000, TVRA, customers' internal and external audits and others
  • Provide pre-sales support to sales team
  • Lead and train engineers and technicians to follow and comply with standard operating procedures, escalation procedures, incident & change procedures
  • Explore, develop and implement engineering solutions and best practice for energy efficient operation of critical facilities
  • Assist reporting manager in budgeting, reporting and administration of the facilities team


  • Degree holder in Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services Engineering or related disciplines
  • Proven working experience in operation and maintenance of 7x24 mission critical facilities, of which 3 years at managerial or supervisory position. Previous working experience in data centre a definite advantage
  • Corporate membership of professional bodies, e.g. HKIE, CIBSE, IME, IET, PMI or equivalent preferable
  • Registered electrical worker grade B0 an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in certification and audits including ISO5000, ISO14000, ISO20000, ISO27000 and TVRA
  • Excellent project management, communication, presentation and problem solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure and out of office hours if necessary
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
