IT Operations manages the IT infrastructure and supporting services that are critical for HSBC employees and customers, such as cost-efficient hardware, system software, middleware and databases, data centres, voice and data networks, ATMs, desktops and other devices.  It employs around 8,500 employees globally and comprises five functions: Client Services, Enterprise Services and Architecture, Data Centre and Service Management, Relationship Management, Project Management and PMO, and Risk and Administration. Collectively, these areas define and deliver HSBC’s technology strategy to support the Group’s goals.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Technical Officer.
Principal responsibilities
  • Monitor exceptions and perform recovery for the bank’s supported services, and proactively look for quality improvement opportunity and implementation.
  • Monitor and operate Bank’s services spanning different operating platforms.
  • Perform service recovery to minimize service outages.
  • Prepare and implement changes and review and execute procedures
  • Acquire first line support knowledge and skills through training and assume the role in medium to long term.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver good results under pressure 
  • Willing to work on shifts including Sundays and public holidays
