As part of Global Risk, Regulatory Compliance ensures adherence to applicable regulations and standards by setting the policies which cover HSBC’s regulatory requirements, and mitigate conduct and reputational risk issues.  The team strives to remain ahead of the regulatory change agenda and ensures the business understands the implications and is prepared for change. It monitors how the Global Businesses and Functions manage their responsibilities with regard to complying with the regulations and helps resolve compliance deficiencies.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager 12 Months Contract.
Principal responsibilities
  • To support the Asia Pacific Head of Regulatory Compliance and the Head of Regulatory Compliance International to implement strategies, policies
  • To ensure that the exposure to regulatory and reputational risks in Asia Pacific is managed and controlled
  • Maintain and develop positive and professional working relationships with Regulatory Compliance team members in head office, regional and country level as well as in global businesses.
  • Implement strategy including compliance knowledge and best practice across Asia Pacific
  • To foster the development of the Regulatory Compliance function with a key part of the Group’s second line of defence in relation to compliance risk.


  • Immediately Available candidates would be an advantage
  • Significant experience as a regulator, senior compliance manager or equivalent within a global firm, in the financial services industry. 
  • Ability to develop practical, cost effective solutions to complex global issues.
  • A legal or formal accountancy qualification or background in one of these a risk or audit discipline.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of dealing with executives at all levels.
