Senior Product Strategy and Design Manager - HSBC Insurance

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Product Strategy and Design Manager.
The main purpose is to work on the development and implementation of the product strategy for HSBC Insurance manufacturing businesses globally.
This will involve working with local country Product Heads to assess the customer, distributor product needs and with the Group Insurance Functions to understand the capital and risk implications for the company. Based upon this, the role holder should contribute to development and implementation of the Product Strategy both and local and global levels.
The role holder will be required to lead on the design of the revised Participating product range and to contribute to the other areas for example Universal Life, Unit Linked and Post Retirement. This will have a particular focus on making the business more market risk and capital efficient.
They will be the expert for the Group on all aspects of design and pricing of that product category and will support the local Product Heads in optimizing their product designs.
They will also play a key role in the establishment and development of the Product Design Centre of Excellence for Savings, Investment products.
They will also need to contribute to development and implementation of a product strategy that meets the needs of customers, distributors and shareholders in a challenging market environment whilst we are replacing our core information technology platform in Asia.
The role requires both strong technical, strategic, product design skills and the organization and planning to drive the implementation of the product strategy both globally and locally.
It requires strong stakeholder management and influencing.
Either an actuarial qualification from one of the main recognized professional bodies or extensive experience in product design, distribution and management.
Experience in life insurance companies or life insurance consulting.
