We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Digital Release Manager.
Principal responsibilities
  • The Asia Pacific Release Management Team is a growing team focused on ensuring our digital products and services get into the hands of our customers, quickly, efficiently and frequently. The Team is responsible for enhancing the customer experience, processes and digital capability within the business. Our purpose is to make change simple, seamless and sustainable for our customers by delivering change insights and solutions that drive real business benefit.
  • The Team consists of driven Release and Implementation professionals that deliver projects and change across the Asia Pacific digital platforms for Retail Banking and Wealth Management.

  • As a Senior Release Manager you will be accountable for the ongoing project management to drive ongoing digital releases from run ahead to final roll out and closure across markets you are responsible for
  • You will drive all business related activities for ongoing releases including scope readiness and ensuring all business requirements are in place and manage business risks and issues. In addition you will be accountable to manage all business related costs.
  • The Senior Release Manager will work with IT Country Delivery Leads, IT programme and project managers to ensure scope is planned, ensure any potential variances are identified and mitigated and remediate impediments escalated from delivery teams
  • The role holder will contribute towards the development of the overall release strategy for Digital Release Management transitioning from programme to continuous delivery on a frequent basis, working with teams across global digital, local digital businesses and the software delivery community
  • Identify areas and ways to better integrate changes, improve process efficiency and the overall engagement with our digital delivery colleagues, to achieve business outcomes and develop a strong team culture
  • Accountable for the capability development of the Release Management Team as well as supporting the development and continuous improvement of the project management tools, processes and capability across all of the delivery lifecycle. Line management of Lead Digital Analysts and Digital Analysts.
  • Managing a range of stakeholders from delivery team leads to senior leaders.
  • Working closely with IT teams to establish and track business implementation plans and oversee all activity to deploy new features into the market, ensuring robust governance is in place.
  • Accountable for ensuring timely delivery of all digital projects, including gaining appropriate approvals both internal and external
  • Support and engage with cross functional and Global, Regional, Local Digital teams with no direct line responsibility for those individuals
  • The role may require international travel and when operating from the home country, will require significant schedule flexibility to allow for daily, weekly interaction with Centre of excellence team members and project teams from all Regions. 
  • Accountable to ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organisation
  • Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.

Qualifications

Requirements
  • You will possess extensive experience in digital project management with a track record of well embedded delivery. Your experience will stretch across a number of proven disciplines including strategy, communications, team development and stakeholder management. An optimistic and enthusiastic approach to release management. Demonstrating how your experience translates to managing multiple releases in a fast paced and evolving environment. You will have a passion for digital and a desire to deliver the very best experience to our customers and staff.  If you have experience supporting extensive digital release management deliverables and uplifting change management capability then this could be the perfect next career opportunity for you.
  • You will have extensive experience managing multiple projects in a digital environment 
  • You will have Senior leadership experience in customer focused organizations, in disciplines such as digital, programme or change management skills motivating and inspiring others to excel
  • You will have proven experience in driving release best practices into an organisation and influencing ways of working both within the team and amongst the other delivery areas, ability to deliver whilst working with Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid teams
  • You will have excellent understanding of project methodology, frameworks and best practice, sound understanding of digital delivery and integration across browser, mobile and security and outstanding Subject Matter Expertise of online and mobile channels, including technical, market place and customer considerations.
  • You will have ability to adapt, unafraid to fail fast and implement learnings to improve, solid understanding of current digital best practices around delivery and continuous improvement, must be passionate about improving and knowledge sharing
  • You will be self disciplined with a proactive attitude, able to work independently and under pressure, know how to steer projects while always keeping the client's needs in mind
  • You will have strong commercial focus, ability to balance risks versus rewards and maximize cost effectiveness and profitability for the business and have highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex or technical issues
  • You will be pragmatic decision making skills, with the ability to make clear judgments based on data and understand the implications, have the ability to lead and influence global and regional teams
  • You will also have excellent negotiation and relationship management skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities
