We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Data Manager.
Principal responsibilities
  • The role reports to the Head of Retail Banking Wealth Managerment Data Governance & Asia Pacific Data Transformation
  • Working with the senior data officers, work with Asia Pacific countries to execution deliverables, Group Data Quality Framework, Metadata Management, Reference Data Standards and Ownership or Stewardship.
  • Cross business alignment of information to meet Group business needs and management reporting
  • Work with locally identified business owners to highlight potential data quality problem areas
  • Prompt escalation of any identified data quality issues. 
  • Work with a wide variety of differing core processes and data technologies.
  • Challenges will include communication across all stakeholders and sponsors, executing the scope of the programme to achieve the stated outcomes and objectives and the wide geographical spread.

  • Work with each of the businesses to ensure alignment of the group priorities and agenda with the regional business priorities
  • Need to be able to work at multiple levels of the organization, supporting the data programmes.
  • The Role holder will adhere to all relevant processes or procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.


  • Degree holder with solid relevant experience in data management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Services business processes and resultant information needs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data structure, data systems/tools and related software and data management policies and practices in a complex organizational environment
  • Experience in Project Management skills
  • Experience in facilitation between Business and Technical functions to achieve agreed outcomes
  • Experience in accommodating: Assumptions, Dependencies, Risks and Issues into planning activity.
  • Ability to analyze and document the current processes and organizations that create and manage the client data
  • Ability to analyze the different client identifiers and client hierarchies and understand the relationship between them and any controls currently in place 
  • Previous experience with data management tools
  • Experience of participating in data management programs or organizations at a large financial services institution.
