Senior Analyst - HSBC Securities Services

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Analyst.
Principal responsibilities
  • Ensure successful capture of business requirements and processes by preparing gap analysis of existing system functionality and user requirements.
  • Document existing processes and assist in identifying areas of improvement.
  • Examine techniques, systems and processes in use and determine appropriate changes to effect improvements, reduce costs and enhance efficiency to meet business needs.
  • Ensure clear communication of requirements by gathering and assisting in the creation of Business Requirement Definition documents.
  • Create and execute test scripts for existing defects, system enhancements and new system functionality. Participate in Quality Assurance testing cycles for unit and workflow testing.
  • Develop project documentation, gathering and compiling of data and statistics.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports presenting recommendations for various project initiatives.


  • Diploma or University graduate in business, Computer Science or relevant discipline.
  • Working experience in investment and finance field with position in business analysis, project assistant, support role with knowledge of fund accounting and valuation are added advantage.
  • With hands on experience in MS Access VBA, Excel Macro, SQL are added advantage.
  • An analytical mind with good interpersonal, problem solving, presentation and communication skills.
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
