Financial Crime Compliance aligns current activities within Global Risk and helps to build these into a more integrated framework to conduct Customer Due Diligence which enables HSBC to manage financial crime risk more effectively. It builds stronger controls to improve the way Financial Crime Compliance risks are managed in order to spot gaps as well as trends so that the team can take action. It proactively gathers and analyses financial intelligence in a smart way so that suspicious transactions, activities or connections can be identified and we can adequately protect our customers from the threat of financial crime.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Sanctions Investigations Officer.
Provide full support for the Regional Sanctions team in ad hoc duties and handle all administrative duties, including business travel arrangement, diary and calendar management
Assist in coordinating Trainings.
Prepare and coordinate the filing of all routine internal and external reports and documents.
Handle daily calls and inquiries and respond independently to routine issues and questions
Handle ad hoc issues as assigned
Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Sanctions Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring.
Form Five graduate or above and preferably with some work experience
Good interpersonal skills and numerical sense
Pleasant telephone manner and fluent in spoken English
Good English typing skill as well as proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to adapt to a wide range of work procedures and operational guidelines
Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work under a tight schedule and pressure
Strong organizing and coordination skills
