Sales Officer- Customer Value Management

Location: Asia Pacific-Hong Kong-Kowloon-Tsim Sha Tsui

Customer Value Management is vital in maintaining HSBC’s position as a provider of world-class retail banking and wealth management solutions, directing business development with a focus on customers. The team works to ensure the most appropriate pricing, products and promotions are directed to the most relevant customers, concentrating on building value, treating customers fairly and creating a superb customer experience.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Sales Officer.
Principal responsibilities
  • Achieve individual and team objectives within the Sales and Marketing team of EPS Company (Hong Kong) Limited.
  • Develop and implement sales plans independently to recruit new profitable merchants
  • Maximise the transaction volume of existing merchants
  • Increase point of sale terminal penetration against the total portfolio
  • Refer to the joint promotion programme
  • Minimize merchant and terminal attrition
  • Oversee China Union Pay merchant acquisition
  • Achieve year on year merchant income growth
  • Manage and cement merchant relationships and acquire additional business from existing merchants
  • Review and analyze merchant transaction data on a regular basis and recommend action when necessary
  • Independently take responsibility for after sales follow up activities and administrative tasks such as handling phone in enquiries
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure all account opening and operations comply with internal requirements
  • Attend all necessary sales meetings and training


  • Form 7 level education or above, with a tertiary level education preferred
  • Significant sales experience, preferably in the banking and financial industry and with knowledge of the credit card industry a plus
  • Aggressive, self motivated and result oriented approach
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Solid account service, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Good command of both written and verbal English and Cantonese
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
