Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Retail Risk Analytics Manager, Basel Modelling.
Build Basel model such as PD, LGD, EAD and stress testing model development for all retail portfolios in HSBC Asia Pacific
Accurate and timely development and implementation of models for Asia Pacific
Responsible for data quality assurance for all models developed
Enhance model development process
Develop and maintain relationships and work with all levels of management
Support the development of best quantification approaches
University degree or post graduate qualification with a relevant quantitative content
Solid understanding of Basel concepts
Relevant experience in risk management, data analytics and risk modeling
Strong experience in using relevant software packages such as SAS, Excel, VBA and SQL
Demonstrate strong project management abilities in delivering large and complex projects
Proven experience of active participation in the development, implementation and communication of evolving quantitative techniques in a challenging and changing risk environment
Experience of discussing complex analytical subjects with non technical internal and external counterparts
