Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Retail Banking - Policy and Risk Governance Manager.
Principal responsibilities
  • Provide, review and analyse credit risk management information for the identification of early warning signals on portfolio performance and the relevant mitigating actions required.
  • Provide credit performance updates to senior management level executives within the region and the Group, and also information for external disclosure purposes.
  • Assist in the management of the risk appetite and portfolio exposure within the region, including the development and implementation of risk policy and process control oversight.
  • Support regional oversight of portfolio performance via various credit governance forum.
  • Assist in the implementation, impact evaluation and management of regulatory requirements in the region.


  • Highly analytical with strong exposure to credit risk management.
  • Excellent skill in summarizing a vast amount of information concisely and precisely to aid decision making.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
