Customer Value Management is vital in maintaining HSBC’s position as a provider of world-class retail banking and wealth management solutions, directing business development with a focus on customers. The team works to ensure the most appropriate pricing, products and promotions are directed to the most relevant customers, concentrating on building value, treating customers fairly and creating a superb customer experience.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Manager Product Control.
Principal responsibilities
  • Support the upkeep of a prudent product governance and monitoring process in compliance with Group standard and guidelines
  • Assist with Wealth Management Product Oversight Committee preparation and follow-up work
  • Support the implementation of group initiatives related to product governance and advice control, and changes to comply with regulatory requirements
  • Work with Wealth Development product managers to ensure suitability of recommendation by mapping them against group guidelines and local regulatory requirements
  • Establish operational engagement with Global Wealth Risk Framework and Product Governance Team as well as other first and second line of defense to ensure Wealth business is complying with Group’s governance standards
  • Support various compliance, risk and control related assessment, reviews and reporting
  • Support the implementation of measures to fulfill new regulatory requirement


  • Degree holder
  • Strong understanding of Retail Banking and Wealth Management and its wealth products, process and pertinent regulatory requirements
  • Strong Business Risk focus with the ability to monitor and assess key risks
  • Ability to manage a complex workload and cultivate a cooperative working environment
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic mindset, with a proven rapid learning capacity
  • Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels and across functions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Chinese and English
