We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Manager, Life Insurance Operations.
  • Principal responsibilities
  • Ensure business objectives are delivered in accordance with procedures and service standard and the business operates in accordance with Group and regulatory compliance and with robust internal control
  • Regular review the administration procedures within the section to ensure all activities are processed in the most effective means and remain most effective at all times
  • Monitor the underwriting rules, guidelines and philosophies for maintaining market competitiveness as well as a prudence selection of life insurance risk
  • Create a customer friendly environment where processes and staff are sensitive to and concerned with the needs and issues of the customer and purse problem resolution with a sense of urgency
  • Underwrite large and unusually difficult cases for making the most appropriate risk assessment decisions for the company on some critical cases
  • Underwriting insurance applications for life business to ensure the company achieves risk commensurate with the product design and the price charged
  • Deliver excellent underwriting service to selected customer relating to their life and medical applications, service includes answering inquiry call from network and frontline
  • Initiate system enhancement for business growth and enhancing service efficiency
  • Handle ad hoc underwriting projects to enhance efficiency of the department
  • Handle global projects in accordance with requirements set
  • Manage the Central Administration Team

Qualifications

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • Experience in recommend alternative method of running the new business and life insurance operation and as underwriter think out of the box capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities
  • Experience in team management with ability to coach, manage, lead and motivated teams to meet required objective
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to prioritize with limited guidance
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
