Manager Credit Card - Consumer Assets

Location: Asia Pacific-Hong Kong-Hong Kong Island-Central

Within Retail Banking and Wealth Management, the Consumer Assets team is responsible for improving portfolio profitability and achieving growth objectives for all lending products in Asia-Pacific, including credit cards, personal loans, overdrafts and mortgages. Operating in several strategic markets across the region, the division is a key contributor to the profitability of the HSBC retail business.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Manager Credit Card.
Principal responsibilities
  • Implement credit card business strategies to meet the business objective
  • Keep track of credit card business performance
  • Review and coordinate initiatives to achieve business objective and reduce costs
  • Coordinate and manage the credit card product and feature enhancements with the aim to sharpen HSBC’s market leading position in Credit Card in a cost effective way
  • Provide inputs to credit and risk policies to enhance return from portfolio while sustaining credit quality
  • Provide inputs to Marketing, Branches, Call Centre and Direct Channel to develop marketing approach and processes that are efficient and effective
  • Ensure regulatory, compliance to group standards and audit directives are met
  • Contribute to systems and processes projects that seek to enhance efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Effectively manage vendor risk in accordance with group and local regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that HSBC’s relationship with material high risk vendors are well managed within agreed risk appetite and do not expose HSBC to undue risk
  • Conduct vendor performance management including provide appropriate training to vendor whenever required and monitoring of the services provided by vendor

Qualifications

Requirements
  • Degree holder
  • Extensive working experience in credit cards, especially in card rewards management
  • High degree of personal drive and resilience
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with creative and critical thinking
  • Strong understanding across different business units in Retail Banking and Wealth Management
  • Strong knowledge in compliances and regulatory requirements
