Within Retail Banking and Wealth Management, the Consumer Assets team is responsible for improving portfolio profitability and achieving growth objectives for all lending products in Asia-Pacific, including credit cards, personal loans, overdrafts and mortgages. Operating in several strategic markets across the region, the division is a key contributor to the profitability of the HSBC retail business.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Manager Consumer Loans.
Principal responsibilities
  • Formulate, evaluate and drive product strategies or initiatives and achieve business objectives for the Consumer Loans business
  • Coordinate product and feature enhancements that aim at sharpening HSBC’s market leading position in Consumer Loans while balancing in quality and quantity.
  • Work with Marketing, Branches, Call Centre and Direct Channels to ensure the Marketing approach and transaction processes are efficient and effective
  • Solicit market intelligence, keep abreast of the product trends and customers’ expectations
  • Evaluate and enhance the risk management, Marketing and transaction processes to facilitate healthy portfolio
  • Evaluate and enhance the HSBC product processes and systems, so that they are compliance to internal and regulatory standards, competitive, efficient and cost effective


  • University degree in an appropriate discipline
  • Extensive relevant working experience in business management and consumer loans in banking industry
  • Excellent technical knowhow and strong business acumen
  • Strong strategic thinking capacity with the ability to translate concepts into actionable plans
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively cross functionally
