We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Manager Commercial Banking Business Risk Control Management.
Principal responsibilities
  • Ensure that Hong Kong Commercial Banking has a robust and compliant Business Risk Control Management capability within first line of defence aligned to the Global model
  • Continual assessment of operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and the impact of new technology
  • Facilitate business preparedness on Hong Kong Monetary Authority audits as well as internal and external audits
  • Effective use of Operational Risk tools, Key Indicators and Dashboard to mitigate risks
  • Build networks within Commercial Banking and across functions to provide expertise and implement Business Risk Control Management capability


  • University degree in an appropriate discipline
  • Sound knowledge of the Group and Commercial Banking business, including products and services
  • Understanding of the changing regulatory environment in which the business operates
  • Good knowledge of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles, as well as of the Group Operational Risk Framework
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and work independently under pressure within a team environment
  • Proven problem solving skills and strong judgment skills to identify and resolve complex problems, with the capacity to consider alternative and lateral solutions
  • Highly developed communication and influencing skills
  • Strong adherence to timelines and quality of output
