Investment Counsellor - Global Banking and Markets

Location: Asia Pacific-Hong Kong-Hong Kong Island-Central

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Investment Counsellor.
Principal responsibilities
  • Responsible for the positioning and delivery of investment solutions to clients and prospects of the Private Bank
  • Partnering with Relationship Managers to offer appropriate investment solutions to clients
  • Attracting and enhancing client relationships and profitability by assessing client needs and developing a comprehensive investment strategy, coordinating sales and execution against that strategy
  • Adhere to conduct and ensuring product match to customer requirements and putting the customers’ needs first
  • Ensure integrity of sales process and compliance with all regulatory policies
  • Provide input and support for the development of new business initiatives and product enhancement


  • Proven track record in investment advisory, with experience in portfolio management, brokerage or institutional sales useful
  • Extensive knowledge of private banking business, both onshore and offshore, and competitive and regulatory environment 
  • Client focused, with strong sales, analytical, technical, teamwork and relationship building skills
  • Strong negotiation, complex problem resolution, communication and presentation, both written and oral, skills
  • Excellent English required. Fluent Cantonese essential, Mandarin preferable
  • Chartered Financial Analyst holder preferable 
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
