Family Governance Specialist - Global Private Banking

Location: Asia Pacific-Hong Kong-Hong Kong Island-Central

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Family Governance Specialist.
Principal responsibilities
  • Assist in developing tailored structures that incorporate family and business governance processes as an integral part of the overall Family Governance structure
  • Implementation and oversight of existing and new Family Governance structure, assist in the provision of Family Governance Advisory services to target families
  • Promote Family Governance structure and capabilities, assist in generating new business through trust relationship managers and private banking relationship managers and other HSBC banking groups as assigned from time to time
  • Assist and support new business negotiation and completion, achieving team goals assigned
  • Participate in implementation and continuous oversight of Family Governance structures through working jointly with Team Head and Trust Relationship Managers
  • Comply with guidelines on target market, sales procedures and pricing strategy applicable from time to time
  • Work alongside other teams within Trustee and Private Bank to deliver solutions.
  • Ensure the company intellectual property are protected at all time.


  • Chartered Company Secretary or Accountant with good drafting skills are preferable
  • Sound analytical mind with great attention to details
  • Solid legal background and experience highly preferable
  • Relevant work experience in Family trust, Family Governance or related disciplines with The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries qualification will be an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with client facing experience
  • Good team player and able to work independently and takes initiation
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese  
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
