Assistant Vice President - Broking Services

Location: Asia Pacific-Hong Kong-Hong Kong Island-Central

Within Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Broking Services provides full investment services in stocks, bonds, currencies, precious metals, commodities and derivatives to retail, corporate customers and financial intermediaries. As a leading full service broker dealer in Hong Kong, our investment services include advisory, execution, risk and portfolio management, custodianship, and margin financing.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Vice President.
Principal responsibilities
  • Provide a full brokerage service in a wide range of financial and investment products
  • Develop business and customer networks through internal referrals and external business networks
  • Build strong relationships with customers  
  • Stay abreast of market trends and news to provide market information and advisory services to clients
  • Develop and build a comprehensive team
  • Train and nurture junior members ensuring sustained business growth
  • Monitor daily transactions activities
  • Comply with all applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations and standards of good market practices


  • University degree
  • Solid background in the trading of financial products
  • Substantial experience in managing corporate and individual clientele
  • Achieve a pass in the Hong Kong Securities Institute Licensing Examination Papers 1, 7, 8 and 9, as well as Leverage Foreign Exchange Trader's Representative Examination Papers 1 and 2 or possess relevant qualification to apply for Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong  registration
  • Strong customer focus and ability to develop long term partnerships with clients
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization and problem solving skills
  • Familiar with the operations of dealing systems and sound knowledge of settlement procedures
  • Sound understanding of Securities and Futures Ordinance, regulations and guidelines of relevant regulatory authorities and risk management control
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua
  • Willingness to work on public holidays and night shifts
