We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Manager, Underwriting, Life Insurance.
Principal responsibilities
  • Ensure business objectives are delivered in accordance with procedures and service standard and the business operates in accordance with Group and regulatory compliance and with robust internal control
  • Underwriting insurance applications for life and medical business to ensure the company achieves risk commensurate with the product design and the price charged
  • Deliver excellent underwriting and customer service to customer relating to their life and medical applications, service includes answering inquiry call from network, frontline and customer
  • Keep abreast of changing customer expectation by conducting customer survey, focus group and feedback session with internal customer group periodically and initiate service enhancement plan to deliver the customer expectation as identified from customer feedback activities, especially in related to the tele underwriting task
  • Handle adhoc underwriting projects assigned by the Manager

Qualifications

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  • Experience in life insurance operation and as underwriter think out of the box capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to prioritize with limited guidance
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
