Job Description

Engineer, Maintenance Control

Location: Hong Kong

Role and responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control the fleet technical status;
  • Assist Duty MCC Controller to maintain MCC day to day operation, overall control and monitor of the efficiency and safe coordination in maintenance operation to provide technical support for all line stations and HKG base;
  • Coordinate with related parties during irregular operations or aircraft rotation in case of specific maintenance requirements in an effort to minimize costs and disruptions;
  • Perform aircraft defect trouble-shooting and provide defect rectification solution plan;
  • Assist LM engineer to arrange maintenance support for defect rectification;
  • Provide on-site technical support for LM engineer while TD / AOG;
  • Aware for any incident that results in emergency procedures and provides notification to all concerned parties according to the company requirements;
  • Aware of any hazard condition in all aircraft and arrange an immediate fleet-wide survey or inspection when necessary;
  • Arrange and provide a solution to aircraft defect findings in the area of activity for maintenance control from independent quality audits and take prompt action to assign particular task to follow up the major or critical defects in time;
  • Ensure ADD status for time compliance control;
  • Arrange and prepare Daily Tail Work Assignment;
  • Provide daily aircraft defect report to MCC Shift-in-charge;
  • Establish the fleet aircraft’s defect database record;
  • Maintain an effective MCC shift handover log;
  • Establish a good co-operational relationship with LM, MROs, service provider and agents.

Qualification:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Airbus A320 series aircraft maintenance;
  • Minimum 1 year of A320 series aircraft maintenance certification experience;
  • A degree holder in an aircraft engineering discipline and / or a qualification that demonstrates suitable experience in aircraft maintenance;
  • Valid aircraft maintenance basic license(s) holder (HKAR, FAA, EASA, CCAR, etc.);
  • Familiarize of A320 technical defect and defect monitoring system;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external parties;
  • Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety;
  • Work well under pressure with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Willingness to work in variable shift duty;
  • Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
