Executive Officer (Admissions Section)
The Academic Registry is now looking for a dynamic and experienced person to perform administrative duties in the Admissions Section. Duties include providing support to various admissions schemes for local and non-local students applying for undergraduate programmes, promoting the University’s programmes locally and outside Hong Kong, coordinating/organising outreach activities, managing computerised systems and providing secretarial support to committees. Business trips for promotion purpose are required. The appointee will also have to assist the Section Head in supervising a team of support staff, as well as liaison with different units within and outside the University.
Applicants should have a recognised degree plus at least three years of post-qualification work experience. Previous work experience in the tertiary education, especially in the area of admissions, will be a definite advantage. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), good organisational, interpersonal and supervisory skills, ability to work independently and under pressure. Solid experiences in providing secretarial services for committees will be an added asset. Candidates with IT proficiency are preferred.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review and mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
