The appointee is expected to: a) provide administrative and secretarial support to the Office of Dean of Arts and various committees of the Faculty; b) handle personal data of staff or students in the form of database management; c) assist in matters related to student admission and undergraduate curriculum; d) carry out outreach activities and publicity of the Faculty; e) provide editorial service for publications of promotional materials; f) organise functions and events; g) assist in ad-hoc projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have a recognised degree with at least two years of work experience. Administrative experience in universities or education institutes will be a definite advantage. Excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua), proficiency in computing applications, and good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are essential. Ability to perform multi-tasks and work under tight schedule with least supervision will be desirable. Knowledge and experience in graphic design and website maintenance will be an advantage.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
