The appointee will provide secretarial and administrative support to the University Council and Court and various committees under the Council, and to University-wide projects, including the preparation of policy papers, reports, proposals, minutes of meetings and various kinds of documents and speeches, and translation between English and Chinese. The appointee will also be responsible for liaison with different government and administrative units and stakeholders, coordinating events, and performing general administrative duties.
Applicants should have (a) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; (b) strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with attentiveness to details; (c) strong self-motivation and quality of a team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight schedules; and (d) a Bachelor’s degree with at least six years of relevant work experience. Shortlisted candidates are required to sit for a written test.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
