Job Description

Assistant Material Management Manager, Receiving & Inspection

Location: Chep Lak Kok



  • Manage, coordinate and optimize the overall receiving and inspection operations within the HAECO Stores and Logistics Network
  • Supervisor and lead a team of Material Management Specialists to manage the Receiving and Inspection operations
  • Motivate and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to assure compliance to regulatory requirements and company/customer procedures
  • Plan and execute processes and procedures to assure compliance to quality and safety standard of the workplace
  • Plan, structure and organize the receiving and inspection functions to meet business and development requirements
  • Work closely with internal/external customers to deliver solutions that meet their needs
  • Monitor the execution and effectiveness of corrective and preventive action plan in response to quality audit findings, customer complaints, IOR’s and MOR’s
  • Plan, structure and implement the inspector authorization programme and formulate training plan to fulfill regulatory requirements
  • Conduct continuous review, plan and evaluate the receiving and inspection activities, work flow, cost effectiveness, KPI achievement, staff performance and development
  • Assure proper capture and billing of Receiving and Inspection cost to customer per contractual requirements
  • Drive cross sections and cross departments process improvement projects
  • Initiate, lead, prepare and present progress report of ad hoc/process improvement projects
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff
  • Perform supervisory duties
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned


  • A recognized degree in relevant disciplines of equivalent
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese (both written and spoken)
  • Strong communication, supervisory and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good understanding of HKCAD / EASA / FAA requirements
  • Good in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge in Lean/Six Sigma/5S an advantage
