Job Description

Assistant Material Management Manager, Planning & System

Location: Chep Lak Kok

Finance Management

  • Manage budgets and financial plans
  • Oversee design and planning for resources analysis, cost allocation to support departmental and project profitability management
  • Assist senior to manage revenue / cost budgeting and forecasting
  • Direct situation analysis / design of business case / scenario analysis / re-charge analysis with operational variables change / impact on performance and cost to support business development
  • Liaise with Commercial for build-up of customer RFPs response and business cases
  • Direct to establish standards for pricing, billing and charging

Operation System & Performance Management Support

  • Oversee the entire planning and systems team
  • Apply methodology, enforce project standards, create and execute project work plan
  • Participate in departmental system related projects, perform planning, executing, monitoring, reporting to ensure the success of the project, constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Oversee and manage System Requests Administration
  • Direct business process review, impact analysis and recommend IT solution / enhancement / system integration to suit operational improvement
  • Take the lead to work with MIS on any in-house system enhancement initiatives, facilitate with IT and business users to align solution design and roadmap for development
  • Act as a champion to promote data-driven operations for MM department

Quality Management

  • Oversee and manage scope for internal / external audits to Stores & Logistics operation
  • Review investigation results generated from audit or quality issues reported by internal / external customers and direct follow-ups / changes to Operations / Operations standards
  • Assist to manage internal / external customers and regulatory authorities to ensure MM sections are maintained in accordance with all regulatory requirements
  • Assist to direct spreading of quality knowledge and messages to instill a quality culture in Material Management

Other Duties

  • Identify resources required and assign individual responsibilities
  • Define project scope, goal and deliverable that support business growth in collaboration with the management and stakeholders
  • Consolidate deviation of project schedule, quality, limitation for management visibility and recommend possible improvements
  • Direct production of respective statistics and advice of operational performance and enhance visibility of activities within MM supply chain
  • Direct improvement projects and manage project progress with regular management updates to ensure on-time completion
  • Lead and develop team members
  • Select initiative, direct feasibility studies and recommend improvement plans to streamline / optimize existing processes
  • Direct development of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and facilitate related teams for operational set up, drill and operation support
  • Process user enquiries independently
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned

  • A recognized Degree in related disciplines
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience in project management / store and logistics management / logistics solution / service delivery in aviation engineering maintenance
  • Minimum 3 years in supervisory / management role
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
  • Good communications and presentation skills
  • Detail-minded with excellent analytical mind
  • Good problem-solving and interpersonal skill
  • Experience with VBA in Excel / Access is an advantage
