Job Description

Assistant Manager, Calmet (Work Location: Tseung Kwan O)

Location: Chep Lak Kok



  • Review and develop the Calibration and Metrology Centre as such to cope with Company’s calibration requirements, and make recommendation for the improvement of capabilities and/or standards within the facility
  • Maintain all the standards in CALMET with traceability to National/International standards and are in good condition
  • Promptly notify Production for all significant defects or discrepancies which have an adverse effect on airworthiness or quality standards, and make recommendation for corrective action and prevention of future occurrence
  • Identify and implement of sampling programmes and audit checks in CALMET so as to ensure that the quality standards of tasks performed are being achieved
  • Provide a safe and standard working environment by assigning staff to carry out regular facility audits
  • Technically supervise all staff under his control to ensure Company’s policy/procedures are implemented in an efficient and cost effective manner
  • Ensure that all Regulatory Authorities, Company’s , HOKLAS and IAS requirements are fully met
  • Monitor and control the turn round and reliability of equipment calibration, in order to achieve best quality and least delay
  • Prepare test procedures/methods in accordance with relevant standardised test methods and/or manufacturers’ recommended test procedures for new facilities
  • Identify areas/potential company-wide projects, where process redesign/improvement can significantly impact efficiency, quality, profitability, competitive positions and customer satisfaction develops and rolls out process systems and tools to facilitate process identification


  • A recognized Degree or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience, with hands-on experience in Calibration Laboratory management and implementing improvement projects at the workplace
  • Good analytical ,problem solving skills and practical understanding of Lean Sigma tools
  • Proactive, mature, approachable and results oriented
  • Proficiency in MS office, especially in Excel/Access
  • Good communication and presentation skills in Chinese and English, both spoken and written
