Job Description

CLERK OF WORKS

Responsibilities:

  • responsible for monitoring building works of an A&A residential project at Peak on site; dealing with all technical matters and liaising with consultants/ contractors; reporting progress and any findings to the developer and Architect with detailed site records;
  • assist the project team and act as the site representative of the developer to perform site supervisory duties;
  • overall site supervision including, but not limited to, inspection in details, checking of setting out, structural works, builder works, fitting out works, report, interpret and record concisely; comparing works with drawings and specifications; 
  • oversee the performance of contractors to ensure the required standard is achieved, such as specifications, construction sequence, building regulations, workmanship, quality control and health & safety;
  • measure and sample building materials to check their quality;
  • monitor the progress of work and coordinate with consultants/contractors to ensure objectives are achieved according to the agreed scheme and budget;
  • work closely with consultants, governmental departments, relevant organizations and internal team on project progression and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Studies or equivalent from a Hong Kong recognised institution or university; MICW preferred;
  • at least 8 years’ proven site working experience in residential/ A&A building construction. Previous experience with property developers will be a definite advantage;
  • be conversant with quality procedure and be able to inspect in detail, report concisely, interpret clearly and record completely;
  • possess effective interpersonal skills and initiative, being systematic and able to work under pressure and with good PC skills (MS Word, Excel and Project);
  • good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
