Risk and Compliance - Retail Banking and Wealth Management Risk

Hang Seng's Risk and Compliance ("RKM") strives to maintain a well-balanced risk profile for the Bank while enabling businesses to thrive. Our team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types. We are dedicated to collaborate with businesses, other functional units and regulatory bodies to develop and implement robust and customized risk management frameworks and measures to maintain the strong market position of the Bank.

Retail Credit Services - supporting businesses to achieve the optimal profits within the Bank's risk appetite by approving secured lending applications and reviewing retail credit portfolio according to internal and external policies and guidelines, procedures, systems and predictive models, and make decisions independently and effectively.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Retail Credit Services Manager.

Principal responsibilities:
  • Develop and validate credit scorecards and other predictive models across RBWM risk, execute project activities and coordinate with different parties within the Bank. Lead the scorecard development project from end to end.
  • Lead a small team to compose and review model validation reports, document findings, make recommendations, and communicate the results to senior management and stakeholders
  • Perform advanced credit MIS / business analytics for retail / SME portfolios
  • Manage bureau data to facilitate various credit monitoring activities
  • Assist in periodic review of internal policies and procedural guidelines
  • Support in ad hoc tasks / project as required
  • University degree in Statistics, Management Sciences or a related discipline
  • Minimum of five years' banking experience in relation to credit risk management and analysis, exposure in policy formulation and / or risk modelling is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of data analysis using statistical or programming tools such as SAS and MS Access / Excel. Experience in using SAS EM is an advantage
  • Strong self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines and make decisions independently
  • Strong communication, analytical and project management skills
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
