Hang Seng's Risk and Compliance ("RKM") strives to maintain a well-balanced risk profile for the Bank while enabling businesses to thrive. Our team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types. We are dedicated to collaborate with businesses, other functional units and regulatory bodies to develop and implement robust and customised risk management frameworks and measures to maintain the strong market position of the Bank.

RKM covers Regulatory Compliance ("RC") function which provides proactive assistance in identifying, assessing and containing Compliance Risk; fostering a compliance culture; optimising relations with regulators; and preserving the Bank's reputation in the marketplace by ensuring that our policies comply with the spirit and letter of the laws and regulations wherever we do business.

We are currently seeking high caliber professionals to join our department as Regulatory Affairs and Policy Manager.

Principal responsibilities:
  • To be part of a RC team that provides direction and support to Regulatory Affairs & Policy ("RAP")'s specific activities across Global Businesses, Global Functions, and jurisdictions within the second line of defence, in order to obtain reasonable assurance that the business is operating in line with relevant laws, regulations, codes and Group Standards within the team
  • Help promote active engagement with relevant financial regulators, identify material regulatory risks and assist in formulating appropriate mitigation plans
  • Appropriately respond to regulatory issues, events and developments
  • Support the RC management as an advisor on regulatory risk issues
  • Support execution of key high priority programmes and regulatory projects
Requirements:
  • University degree in a related discipline
  • Minimum of five years' experience in compliance, audit or risk management field, with exposure to the financial services industry an advantage
  • Good knowledge of rules, regulations and statutory requirements from Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Securities and Futures Commission, or/and other regulatory bodies
  • Strong self-motivation, with good communication, interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills
  • High proficiency in both English and Chinese
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
