- Word Processing
Location: Race Relations Unit, Home Affairs Department, 15/F, Southorn Centre, 130 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
Duties(a) Assist in implementing and promoting support services for ethnic minorities;
(b) Assist in delivering talks / presentations at schools and other institutions;
(c) Assist in implementing publicity / education programmes, e.g. organising exhibitions to introduce cultures of different ethnic groups;
(d) Assist in the production of publications in ethnic minority languages;
(e) Provide general clerical support, e.g. filing, record-keeping, typing, photocopying, receipt and dispatch service, arranging transport etc.; and
(f) Undertake such additional tasks as the supervisor in the Home Affairs Department may direct from time to time.
Entry Requirements(a) Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
(b) Met the language proficiency requirement of Level 2 / Grade E or above in English Language in the HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent;
(c) Fluent in spoken English and Cantonese;
(d) Good command of at least one of the following South / Southeast Asian languages that is widely spoken in Hong Kong (such as Hindi, Nepali, Urdu or Thai) in spoken form (ability to write the related language will be an advantage);
(e) Good interpersonal and communication skills; and
(f) Sound knowledge of computer applications such as word processing in English and minority languages, spreadsheet and presentation.
