Job Description

Part-time Contract Senior Doctor (Child Assessment)

Location: Appointments Unit, Department of Health, Room 1807, 18/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong

Duties

Mainly deployed on clinical and non-clinical duties in the following programme areas:
(a) statutory functions;
(b) disease prevention;
(c) health promotion;
(d) curative care; and
(e) rehabilitation.

(Remarks: (3) Selected candidates may be required to work shifts outside normal working hours and perform on-call duties.) 

Entry Requirements

Candidates should have –
(a) a medical qualification registrable in Hong Kong under the Medical Registration Ordinance, Cap. 161;
(b) Fellow of Hong Kong College of Paediatricians or Fellow of Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Paediatrics) or equivalent;
(c) a minimum of 8 years' working experience in the field of Paediatrics: including a minimum of 2 years’ working experience in the field of Developmental-Behavioural Paediatrics or Child Development; and
(d) a good command of spoken and written Chinese and English.

(Remarks: (1) Experienced doctors who are not fully registered with the Medical Council of Hong Kong and yet have acquired the relevant qualifications set out in the entry requirements above may apply for the position. If necessary, assistance would be given to the successful candidate(s) to register with the Medical Council of Hong Kong to practice under Limited Registration.
(2)Candidates with supervisory experience is preferred.)
