Medical and Health Officer (Family Medicine, Child Assessment, Forensic Pathology and Pathology)

Location: Appointments Unit, Department of Health, Room 1807, 18/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong

Duties

Mainly deployed on clinical and non-clinical duties in the following programme areas:
(a) statutory functions;
(b) disease prevention;
(c) health promotion;
(d) curative care; and
(e) rehabilitation.

(Remarks: Selected candidates may be required to work shifts outside normal working hours and perform on-call duties.) 

Entry Requirements

Candidates should have
(a) a medical qualification registrable in Hong Kong under the Medical Registration Ordinance, Cap. 161; and
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 1 or above results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent (See Notes (4)&(5)); and be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English.

(Remarks: Applicants without the requisite CRE results, or equivalent, but have met the other entry requirements may also apply. However, they will only be considered for appointment subject to their obtaining of the requisite results in the CRE.)

Salary

Master Pay Scale Point 32 ($62,225) per month to Master Pay Scale Point 44B ($109,670) per month (See Notes (2)&(3)).
