Engineering Geology Graduates
Location: Assistant Departmental Secretary/Appointment 2, Civil Engineering and Development Department, 14/F, Civil Engineering and Development Building, 101 Princess Margaret Road, Ho Man Tin, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
Graduate trainees will receive practical training under professional guidance meeting the training requirements of the relevant professional institutions.
(I) An acceptable degree in the relevant discipline from a Hong Kong university or equivalent (obtained in 2016 or after), or other non-degree qualifications acceptable to the relevant professional institutions (obtained in October 2015 or after) as follows : a degree in Geology, Earth Science or Applied Earth Science or a qualification closely related to these subjects, which satisfies the academic requirements for (i) corporate membership of the Geotechnical discipline of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and for admission into the HKIE Training Scheme “A” in the Geotechnical discipline, or (ii) Chartered Geologist status under the Geological Society, UK; and (II) Be a permanent resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of engagement unless specified otherwise.

The current honorarium on entry is $20,980 per month. The above amount of honorarium and the terms of engagement are subject to changes at the time the offer of engagement is made. Graduate trainees are not civil servants and their training honoraria are independent of the civil service pay.
