Contract Chef (Chinese Cooking/Western Cooking)
Location: Chief Executive’s Office, Tamar, Hong Kong
DutiesMajor duties include :
(a) to prepare food and provide cooking service to the Chief Executive, his family and guests;
(b) to provide meals for both official and social functions in Government House, Fanling Lodge and any other places as required;
(c) to assist in designing menus and purchasing food and ingredients; and
(d) to handle daily kitchen operation including food handling, cleaning and maintaining cooking utensils, etc.
(Note: Contract Chef is required to (a) work overtime and irregular hours, including evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays; (b) wear uniform; and (c) be deployed to work in Government House, Fanling Lodge and any other places as required. This Office may provide staff quarters for the successful candidate.)
Entry RequirementsCandidates should :
(a) have at least 6 years’ experience in cooking in a large household/establishment in the hospitality/hotel industry;
(b) speak fluent Cantonese and simple English, be able to read and write simple Chinese and English; ability of basic computer word processing is preferred; and
(c) have knowledge/experience in other cuisines or have culinary qualifications is an advantage.
