Position Summary:
EY is demonstrating a strong commitment to learning and development through a cross-firm program focused on transforming our learning function. Aligned with this initiative, EY Global Assurance leaders are committed to the design and development of a leading practice global learning curriculum for our Assurance practice.
This role will be part of the Global Assurance Learning (GAL) team working as a learning manager in our Asia-Pacific Assurance learning team. It provides an opportunity to work as part of a high performing global team and be at the forefront of innovative learning design and development. This individual will gain insight into new learning delivery mechanisms and work directly with Global and Regional Leaders to lead the implementation of leading practice approaches to learning.
Working with the other members of the Global Assurance learning team to confirm quality products are provided which meet agreed stakeholders' objectives on a timely basis by:
  • Working with the Asia-Pacific Assurance Learning Leader (AP ALL) to develop and execute the Asia-Pacific Assurance learning strategy, resourcing and budgeting process
  • Supporting the design, development, piloting and maintenance of Asia-Pacific and global Assurance learning and related processes:
    • Working with learning teams and stakeholders to facilitate development and delivery of appropriate learning content
    • Embedding EYG learning development standards, including appropriate use of learning delivery modes and sound instructional design
    • Participating in select global/Area learning projects to drive process improvement which support Assurance business objectives (e.g. pre-assessments, pre-work, learning administrative system etc.)
  • Supporting implementation of development and deployment processes to provide good-quality, technically accurate learning that is appropriate for the target audience
  • Leading Regional Assurance learning teams in deploying global/Area learning in Asia-Pacific. This person is not expected to deploy as this is the role of Regional learning teams
  • Building relationships with the broader Asia-Pacific Assurance Learning and Talent teams, and Asia-Pacific L&D team
  • Building relevant communities (learning, facilitators) and learning culture in Asia-Pacific
  • Developing facilitation skills by co-facilitating at relevant events
  • Specific areas of responsibilities include handling Assurance learning operations, learning map management, feedback management, learning policies, Audit Academy and Global project support; Assurance learning operations activities include:
    • Develop and own Asia-Pacific Assurance learning milestone calendar
    • Track Assurance learning deployment plans and forecast learning tool usage
    • Support AP ALL in developing and deploying budget guidance and managing quarterly budget to actual analysis
    • Support Asia-Pacific Assurance L&D reporting
    • Lead Assurance learning teams to implement key learning processes
    • Be Assurance learning professional for learning tools (SimGate/Canvas) including liaising with Shared Services Centre and L&D on process improvements and training
    • Coordination of Area Assurance learning communications
To qualify, you must meet the following requirements: 
  • At least eight years of relevant experience, experience with learning design, development or program management preferred although not required
  • Solid knowledge of the Assurance structure, organization and strategies
  • Instructing/facilitating experience is preferred
  • Excellent project management skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, self-driven and able to work independently
  • Adaptable, flexible, resourceful and able to learn new things quickly
  • Ability to work flexible hours and juggle conflicting demands and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact well with people at all levels
  • Ability to influence senior professionals
  • Ability to pre-empt deadlines and pursue colleagues for relevant information
