Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced Regional Financial Controller/Financial Manager to support all aspects of running a finance function for a range of EY clients with operations across the Asia-Pacific region.

 

The candidate will be required to manage and coordinate multi-country service engagements whereby they will be required to oversee all aspects of the clients’ monthly accounting and close process, management reporting, consolidation and quality review and year end close. They will also be responsible for facilitating efficient processes are implemented so our clients meet their internal and external reporting objectives.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead detailed scoping and pricing of finance outsource projects to confirm EY provide an effective delivery model and provide quality services with sustainable profitability  

  • Lead the implementation of standardized accounting processes, process improvement and governance initiatives across Asia-Pacific

  • An ability to oversee all aspects of a clients’ finance requirements, including the preparation, coordination and evaluation of budgets, implementation of a controls framework, management reporting and forecasting

  • Responsibility for network delivery across EY’s country practices and confirming the quality of output from the EY network offices   

  • Ability to work directly with a clients shared service center or BPO provider and an ability to be flexible and services focused in facilitating the right delivery model for our clients

  • Ability to work as part of an integrated team with EY’s other professional teams including tax, payroll and corporate secretarial services

  • Responsibility for direct client relationships and reporting into senior finance/executive officers

To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Accounting or Finance degree or equivalent

  • At least 10 years of experience in finance roles, including more than half in diverse senior positions managing reporting, financial planning functions, and business support

  • Possess a good understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards

  • Good understanding of key business metrics and experience in management reporting to support business decisions

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to manage through influence senior finance personnel

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and clients

  • Strong language skills in both English and Mandarin

  • Process oriented and experience in standardizing finance functions

  • Prior experience working in Big 4, MNC and/or dynamic, fast paced and matrix environment, preferably in service industry

  • Working knowledge of ERP and BI tools e.g. SAP, Oracle, Hyperion Planning, MS Navision
