Job Description

Teppan Commis 鐵 板 燒 廚 師 (18K)

Location: Causeway Bay

Responsibilities

  • Follow the methods of food preparation, cooking, sizing of portions, mixing of sauces, seasoning, and garnishing of foods and serving, if necessary, to ensure food is prepared in an approved manner according to standard prescribed by the Teppan Head Chef
  • Sets up workstation based on pars established by the Teppan Head Chef 
  • Completes all closing requirements as directed by Teppan Head Chef,
  • Maintain high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and keep equipment in proper condition
  • Provide ad hoc support as assigned

Qualifications 

  • A minimum of 7-8 years experience of Teppan table operation in hotels or restaurants
  • A basic knowledge of Japanese Western fusion cuisine would be beneficial
  • Diploma holder in culinary management or a related field of discipline would be an advantage
  • A valid hygiene manager certificate and a solid understanding of HACCP would be an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, well organized, self-motivated; a team player attitude is essential 
  • Less experience will be considered as Commis
