Merchandising Services Specialist

Location: PRC - Hong Kong-Hong Kong-Corporate Office (Chinachem)-77 Mody Road, 7/F Chinachem Golden Plaza, Tsimshatsui East, Hong Kong

Reports to:

Manager of Merchandising Services

Purpose and Objective of Position:

The Merchandising Services Specialist is responsible for executing multiples tasks that will help Merchants and Planners from all Product Groups to optimize use of system and ensure data consistency. Main tasks are related to SKU & Purchase Orders creation / maintenance and Price changes in DFS Merchandising System. Additional tasks will also relate to Defective items, Vendor support terms and Reporting.

The Merchandising Services Specialist is also responsible for assisting both Merchandising Services Manager and Assisting Manager to lead the standardization and industrialization of some merchandising processes and tools.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transfer information from brand’s document to DFS standardized assortment grids as communicated by the Merchants

• Execute SKU create as communicated by the Merchants

• Reconcile brand’s order confirmation with DFS orders

• Execute vendor purchase order creation and maintenance as communicated by the Planners

• Tracking purchase orders status

• Execute SKU maintain as communicated by the Internal Client (Merchants & Planners)

• Execute VST document creation as communicated by the Merchants

• Manage Defective process with stores, vendors and merchants

• Execute reverse logistics document creation as communicated by the Planners

• Perform penny retail reports and communicate missing information to the merchants

• Produce standardized reports for Internal Client (Merchants & Planners)

• Extracting master data for Internal Client (Merchants & Planners) to perform data quality check & management

• Roll in offline-OTB monthly

• Offer solution to improve Merchandising Services effectiveness and efficiency, and meet Service Level Agreement (performance are defined regarding quality, quantity and timing criteria)

• Support ad-hoc projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• College or University Degree preferred or equivalent work experience 

• Previous merchandising and/or planning and/or Shared Services Center Preferred 

•  Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint

•       Good at problem solving and able to handle multiple priorities

•       Very detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and the ability to detect inconsistencies in data
