Senior Analyst / Analyst, Business Intelligence

This incumbent under the GMS will support the Brand Manager on monitoring category and business performance with integration of data, information and intelligence related to products and customers.  Key objectives of the position are to understand business issues and to identify the business / category opportunities or potential areas of development.

The Job

  • Ability to analyse and provide GMS Senior Management with insight on category and business performance through integration of data, information, and intelligence
  • Monitors key performance indicators and identifies business opportunities based on various dimensions and areas such as, categories/ brands/ products, market share and trends, brand equity, customer demographics, customer behavior, and competitor performance
  • Conduct precise and comprehensive analysis in range performance, space planning, promotional study and measurement, category mix, sale forecast and budgeting, as well as on-going/long term business strategies
  • Maintain close working relationships with related teams in business units like Merchandising, Category Management and Marketing; and manage service providers like Marketing Research firms
  • Lead/ participate in ad hoc business analytic projects

The Person

  • University graduate in Statistics, Marketing or related disciplines
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience preferably from retail or FMCG industry
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel
  • Strong analytical skills with good project management experience
  • Strong business acumen, organized and self-motivated
  • Good communication and presentation skills in both written and verbal English and Chinese
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered for Analyst
