Assistant Payroll Manager

The Job

  • Perform a supervisory and partnership role with the outsourcing payroll team in managing the payroll activities for delegated business unit(s)
  • Work closely with both internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure advisory services are well delivered
  • Assist the team in establishing robust payroll control mechanisms to achieve high standard compliance
  • Participate in system development and implementation of HR related projects
  • Assist manager to supervise junior staff members in daily operation to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
  • Assist manager to review and revamp payroll processes and procedures
  • Participate in payroll/system related projects as assigned

 

The Person

  • University graduate with a degree preferably in Human Resources Management or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in payroll / taxation administration, preferably in retail industry or sizable companies
  • Well versed in Hong Kong Employment Ordinance, MPF regulations and other HR related legislation
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks and requests in a fast paced and evolving environment
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Solid knowledge of HRIS, previous experience in IPL will be an advantage
  • Experience in handling Macau payroll is an advantage
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of  Senior Officer
