We Offer...

  1. Acting as a lawyer in the team responsible for supporting Credit Suisse's investment banking division in APAC - this includes activities undertaken in Greater China
  2. Providing legal advice with respect to Credit Suisse's structured lending business, comprising a variety of financing products including loans, bonds, convertible loans/bonds and exchangeable bonds - this includes assistance in preparing, reviewing and negotiating engagement letters and indemnities, term sheets, confidentiality undertakings, marketing materials disclaimers and transaction-specific documentation (in conjunction with external counsel where relevant)
  3. Providing assistance and advice on legal issues arising out of activities undertaken by the investment banking franchise
  4. Managing the firms' briefing of matters to external counsel, and responsibility for ensuring the quality of those services
  5. Helping to supervise support provided to Structured Lending business by documentation team in Pune
  6. Working closely with Fixed Income Derivatives Compliance, APAC Control Room and with peers in teams (both within and outside of the region) as appropriate (including for example, participation in new business initiatives)
  7. Providing timely escalation of matters requiring senior input and approval

  • Knowledge of the legal / regulatory regime applicable to investment banking activities in North Asia including Hong Kong and China
  • Good legal drafting skills
  • Experienced and capable of working in team environments
  • Ability to effectively manage external counsel
  • Capable of dealing closely with various business lines and operational areas to deliver legal services
  • Ability to prioritise matters effectively
  • Must be pro-active and possess the initiative to drive projects and matters forward to resolution
