We Offer...

  • The opportunity to support the evaluation, execution, monitoring and exiting of principal investment transactions generally focused on our key UHNWE client ecosystem, spanning the Asia Pacific region
  • The opportunity to work extremely closely with the Asia Financing Group (primarily the team historically known as EMFG) as well as IBCM Coverage and Corporate Finance Groups across APAC. The EIP team currently has  one Managing Director, One Director and two Associates
  • Excellent opportunity and experience on the investment side of the industry, while maintaining optionality to retain the IBCM Banker track
  • The chance to develop a deep analysis skillset through  performing complex valuations, financial modelling, competitive strategy analysis, credit, capital structure, financial returns and multi-tracked and multi-scenario investment exit analyses
  • The opportunity to build and refine due diligence awareness: conduct accounting, business, financial and regulatory due diligence, not only in investment evaluation but also in vigilantly monitoring the investment portfolio
  • A strong communication environment whereby you will prepare and present materials such as information memorandums and presentations for our internal Risk and Investment Committees at very senior levels
  • An on-going investment monitoring of portfolio companies including [monthly] portfolio review, ad hoc analysis and monitoring of industry development

You Offer...

  • Fluency in English; One of the two open positions require the ability to speak, read and write Chinese and specifically Mandarin
  • 2 or more years of corporate finance experience within an investment bank
    o Ability to display a diversified portfolio of transaction experience throughout the capital structure; M&A (preferably buyside transaction), IPO and leveraged situations almost certainly required, advisory to growth and pre-IPO companies is a plus
  • Acute analytical, quantitative and modelling skills
  • Ability to form an independent view on analysis and communicate that view effectively
  • Ability to analyse multi-dimensional problems and synthesize multi-track processes
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to liaise at all levels
  • Excellent PC skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong drive for performance with business entrepreneurship qualities, demonstrating leadership capabilities
  • Multi-tasking with strong attention to detail
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude and solid work ethic
  • Ability to exercise good judgment working in a highly pressurized and time sensitive environment
  • Ability to understand risk dynamics, protecting the firm’s capital but at the same time having vision for value appreciation and the value of that risk
  • Flexible with traveling
