Managing Director, Investment Banking

Location: APAC-Hong Kong SAR of PRC

Citi Corporate and Investment Banking provides comprehensive financial advisory and capital raising services to top corporations, financial institutions and governments worldwide. Clients receive tailored financial solutions and strategic advisory services on a wide range of M&A transactions and capital-raising activities including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financial restructurings, underwriting and distributing equity, debt, and derivative securities. Our bankers are organized into industry, product and regional groups and work closely with our partners in capital markets, sales and trading, research and global relationship banking to offer customized financing strategies for our clients.

  • Lead in the origination and structuring of complex debt, equity, capital restructurings
  • Set and meet  ambitious revenue and other financial goals by establishing and maintaining a strong pipeline of episodic deals

Leads Change:

  • Inspire trust among team members and build a culture of collaboration and integrity

Act as an Owner:

  • Ensure that proposed client solutions meet or exceed internal risk and return standards, including stringent ethical standards, and anticipate future changes in the marketplace
  • Identify and anticipate all types of risks (e.g. industry, portfolio, diversification, sovereign, commercial, currency, etc.)
  • Builds Great Teams:
  • Serve as a mentor to Junior Bankers and establish staffing models that support business needs and provide robust career trajectories for junior staff

Drives Client Value:

  • Be the trusted advisor to the “C-suite” by providing sophisticated financial solutions tailored to the clients’ needs and acting as a content provider on market trends
  • Serve as the expert on regulatory, financial and complex strategic issues relating to corporate finance transactions

Works as a Partner:

  • Foster and leverage ongoing global relationships inside and outside of the organization
  • Recognizes and encourages cross-sell opportunities that deliver the Citi franchise

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry, specifically within Banking
  • Previous success and proven track record in new business development and closing investment banking transactions
  • Thorough understanding of all capital advisory services as well as M&A
  • Strong leadership and relationship building skills, outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to express ideas in a persuasive, confident, organized and articulate manner
