HR, Talent & Diversity Advisor, Vice President

Location: APAC-Hong Kong SAR of PRC

The Talent and Learning Team consult across the Asia Pacific franchise, aiming to maximize organizational performance to meet current and future business objectives.

This is achieved by partnering with the business to identify opportunities and initiatives relating to the development of capability, talent, and leaders; diversity and inclusion; and business performance.

Our team is responsible for identifying, analyzing, sourcing/developing, implementing, and evaluating solutions for businesses, in full partnership and collaboration with relevant business leaders, HR and regional/global colleagues.

  • Form close, collaborative and trusted relationships with business leaders, HR seniors and regional/global Diversity and Talent & Learning (T&L) team members – ensuring strong, proactive communication links exist to all stakeholders.

  • Creating strategic communication plans to express the vision for all pillars of the regional Talent & Diversity strategy. Ensure robust governance frameworks are in place and align Global/Region/Country/Markets initiatives for strategic focus and impact.

  • Act as the Relationship Manager for one of the Global Affinity groups, coordinating and advising the Global Steering Committee, in close partnership with the Global Talent & Diversity team.

  • Provide Talent & Diversity advisory where required to identify, assess and articulate an awareness or learning need, then source and deliver the curriculum/program/solution to address an individual, team, or organizational opportunity or gap.

  • Accountable for the initiation, implementation, communication and measurement of key Talent & Diversity strategies and processes relating to a strong diverse bench of future leaders including talent development, inclusive leadership, etc.

  • In partnership with the business and key HR partners, identify, assess, coach, and develop a strong diverse talent pool for the Bank of the future.

  • Leading and facilitating programs (e.g. Male Advocacy, Inclusive Leadership, Train-the-Trainer, Unconscious Bias, etc.)

  • Manage, revise and/or design talent development programs to ensure they continue to be impactful and are meeting required objectives.

  • Identify the need for external specialists/ vendors, then source, brief, and evaluate the vendor (including executive coaches).

  • Positioning Citi positively within the industry in regards to reputation, recognition, and achievement related to Talent & Diversity endeavors.

  • Leverage data to identify opportunities and provide insights for the business on potential areas of focus and Talent and Diversity initiatives.


  • Extensive experience in project management, communications or related in a global environment, with complex stakeholder groups.

  • Previous experience in diversity and inclusion and/or talent management strategy is preferred.

  • Ability to collaborate, challenge and influence internal stakeholders at various levels in a matrixed environment.

  • Excellent consulting and client relationship management skills to partner effectively with senior business leaders and HR partners. Ability to manage expectations and value diverse opinions.

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated expertise in executing impactful, effective and innovative solutions.

  • Capable of performing effectively in complex situations with limited guidance and unafraid to challenge the status quo.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple multi-geography concurrent projects and adapt to rapidly evolving and changing priorities; resilient and flexible.

  • Displays initiative, with a strong desire to learn the business and stay up to date with developments in areas of expertise, as well as external industry developments.

  • Expert facilitation and presentation experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Bachelor degree in related field is preferred.
