HK - GCB - Assistant Vice President, International Personal Banking (IPB)

Location: APAC-HKG-Hong Kong-Hong Kong

Job Summary:

Citibank HK’s International Personal Banking (IPB) business offers offshore banking services to an international clientele. We are one of several offshore banking centers within the Citi network and are uniquely positioned to offer banking services to non-resident individuals. We are seeking a strong individual to support our growing IPB business.

Job Description:

Reporting to Head of International Personal Banking, the candidate shall assume responsibilities in below areas:

  • Recommend and execute business initiatives from an end-to-end basis to achieve business goals, including acquisition of new-to-bank offshore banking clients, drive inflow of Net New Money, foster product penetration, and more
  • Being the business champion to coordinate with different teams (Product teams, Sales teams, Decision Management, Operations, Compliance, etc.) to drive delivery of the right product solutions and client experience for IPB clients
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen and enhance IPB value proposition
  • Actively monitor IPB business portfolio, regularly provide insight to management and stakeholders. Proactively initiate actions to address any issues and opportunities identified.
  • Interact with Global Office and other offshore banking centers to drive synergy within Citi
  • Initiate, identify and explore collaboration opportunities with external strategic partners in seek of driving new-to-bank IPB prospects and strengthening of IPB value proposition

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • University degree holder in Business Administration or related discipline
  • A minimum work experience of 6 years in banking or financial industry, preferably in Segment Management, Business Management, and/or Product Marketing
  • Good understanding of customer behavior of offshore banking segment (especially those from Mainland China, Taiwan, and Singapore)
  • Be open-minded with creative thinking mind-set
  • A good team player with strong interpersonal skill
  • Experience in business negotiation be a plus
  • Able to articulate business ideas
  • Strong communications skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
