Equity Markets – Sales Trader

Location: APAC-HKG-Hong Kong-Hong Kong

Job Purpose:
  • Service the firm’s equity electronic clients
  • Grow existing business globally and sell the product to new clients
Job Background/Context:
  • This role sits with the cash equities franchise
  • The successful candidate will be expected to liaise on a daily basis with the broader equity trading floor:  traders, sales traders, quantitative teams and custody teams
Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand direction of electronic business and integration with broader cash business
  • Provide first class trading, sales trading and sales coverage to the firm’s client base
  • Understand the electronic product and how it could be enhanced and better sold
  • Identify gaps in wallet and clients
  • Sell and on board new clients with a view to growing the franchise and work closely together with SFS
  • Responsible for wholesale client coverage in Asia and selling global execution platform
  • Understand how the various businesses within Citi operate and how can we leverage to sell to clients
  • Taking an involvement in the development and enhancement of the product by interacting with quant, product and tech teams
  • Understand the internal liquidity strategy by interacting with all relevant stakeholders to assist with growth
  • The successful candidate should interact  well between product, technology, EE trading and sales-trading and sales, mkt making, sales trading, client
