Client Service Operations Officer

Location: APAC-HKG-Hong Kong-Hong Kong

  • Perform per-matching on 17 Asia Pacific markets domestic transactions (major markets are AUD, JPY, HKD, JPY, SGD, MYR, THB, PHP, IDR & PKR for both principal and agency business. CNY, INR, TWD, KRW, VND, LKR, BND etc. are for principal business only)
  • Liaise with agent banks, brokers, CGM sales and trading desks, middle office, customer’s back offices and other CGM overseas offices to follow up any potential fails prior to settlement date
  • Require keen product knowledge on AP equity markets to resolve daily settlement problems as the product mix is approximately 95% of cash equity and 5% of fixed income
  • Perform pre-matching and settlement for Euroclear, EMEA, U.S. and Canada market. Issue manual instruction on Euclid
  • Issue manual instructions for exceptional items to our agent banks for 15 Asia Pacific markets, Euroclear, EMEA, U.S. and Canada products via CitiDirect, Merva or Euclid
  • Answering desks and clients queries on a timely manner (usually within 30 minutes)
  • Fails follow-up with clients till trades settled
  • Work with other teams to resolve stock and cash breaks


  • University graduate or above
  • Minimum 5 years experience in operations/settlements in Asia Pacific markets
  • Product knowledge in Asia Pacific Equity markets and Fixed Income Products e.g. Corporate Bonds, Government Bonds settlement
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Accurate typing and basic PC skills (i.e. Excel, Microsoft Word)
